Maldon's High Street will come alive on Thursday November 28 2019 with a special Vintage Christmas Fayre event between 4.30pm and 9pm.
This year's theme is the Swinging Sixties and the High Street will be closed to make way for various stalls and entertainments.
The action starts at 4.30pm and Maldon's Town Mayor will turn on the Christmas lights at 6.00pm from the stage outside All Saints' Church.
There will be carol singing in All Saints' Church between 6.30pm & 7.15pm.
Maldon Youth Orchestra will be playing by the King's Head Centre.
There will be late night shopping plus a street market with over 80 stalls, choirs, music, hospitality hosted by the local shops and competitions.
Enjoy a variety of entertainment from the big stage outside All Saints’ Church on the High Street and visit Santa and his reindeers, who will be in St Peter's churchyard at the junction with Market Hill between 5pm & 8pm
If you fancy dressing for the evening, this year's theme is the Swinging Sixties and a prize will be awarded to the best dressed visitor.

PARKING AND ACCESS
The High Street will be closed during the event from the old Police Station at West Square to Edward Bright's Close and this will result in diversion of cars and buses.
During this time town car parks will be accessible from the appropriate ends of the High Street and there will be an evening charge of £1 from 5pm to 10pm. For details of car parks see here
You can also park at Morrisons Supermarket (*see below), Tesco car park where a four hour limit applies or the Museum of Power in Langford. A free shuttlebus service will be running between these locations and the town centre from 4.30pm with last return bus at 10pm. * At Morrisons, you need to give your car registration number to customer services to avoid a penalty notice if over 3 hours. At Tesco the normal parking conditions apply.PLEASE NOTE:
