Invited to view these paintings from a different perspective through his clever lyrics, these brand new creations form an original show composed and written by Barrie Jaimeson, professional actor and Artistic Director of macTheatre.

Bach's St John Passion

The annual performance of Bach's masterpiece is given on Good Friday, featuring the cerebrated Choir of St Mary's accompanied by the excellent professional baroque orchestra, Pegasus Baroque. Conducted by Colin Baldy. There is no entry charge but there will be a retiring collection.

Don’t miss this Easter Sunday event when the gigantic pumping engine “Marshall” is in steam! "Get Cycling" will bring a range of unusual bikes for all the family to try plus Cycling proficiency. There will be displays of classic vehicles and old machinery, live music, craft stalls and rides on the miniature steam railway (fare £1.00). There are tearooms and food outlets plus a riverside picnic area.

Solve the riddles of Easter by finding clues scattered around the small play area and maze at Promenade Park. The puzzle will take no longer than an hour to complete. Only chance in Essex to see two of the UK’s most prominent and in-demand guitarists and songwriters, as the duo launch their first ever collaborative tour. Scotland’s Kris Drever (Lau) and England’s Boo Hewerdine (The Bible, Eddi Reader) have long been connected through song, having worked together on Kris’ album Black Water (an appropriate title!). Produced by mutual friend and Scottish folk musician John McCusker, the recording led to future live collaborations and a tour with Eddi Rea

Luca Francioso lives and works in Padova and is a celebrated guitarist, composer and writer. He studied classical guitar refining Fingerstyle technique under Italian guitar legend Franco Morone. Stuart Masters combines Western and Indian classical, Folk and Celtic influences with contemporary percussive techniques to create a unique hybrid style of guitar playing. Together they create an evening of guitar excellence celebrating the instrument in all it's cultural diversity.
